General Information
Inside Breakout places great importance on protecting your personal data. We handle your personal information confidentially and solely in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and – where applicable – the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We collect and use personal data only as far as is necessary to provide our services – in particular for booking and conducting escape room games, sending team photos to participants, processing payments, and for marketing purposes. Your data will only be passed on to third parties in the cases described in this statement.
Booking and Reservations (Quinbook)
For online reservations of our escape rooms, we use the Quinbook booking system provided by Woizzer AG (Hamburg, Germany).
When you book a game or purchase a voucher via our website, the necessary information (e.g. name, contact details, preferred date) is collected and processed via Quinbook. Quinbook processes this data to handle the reservation according to its own privacy policy.

Sending Photos (Buzzshot)
After your escape room experience, we offer to send you a team photo by email. For this service, we use the Buzzshot software (provided by Thomas Parslow Ltd, UK).
If you agree to receive a photo, your team photo along with your name and email address will be uploaded to Buzzshot and sent to you. Buzzshot processes and stores this personal data solely for the purpose of sending the photo, in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Payment Processing (SumUp, Payrexx, Bexio)
To securely process payments, we use specialized payment service providers. Depending on the payment method selected, your payment data will be transmitted to these providers and processed in accordance with their privacy policies:
- Online payments and QR code payments on site – Payrexx: For online payments (e.g. game reservations, voucher purchases via our website) and for QR-code-based on-site payments, we use Payrexx (Payrexx AG, Thun, Switzerland). When you pay online or scan a QR code on site, your payment information is transmitted directly to Payrexx. Details: Payrexx-Website
- Card payments on site – SumUp: For on-site card payments, we use card readers from SumUp (SumUp Ltd., London, UK). SumUp processes the necessary payment data (e.g. card number, amount) to complete the transaction. Details: Datenschutzerklärung SumUp
- Invoicing – Bexio: In cases where we issue invoices (e.g. for corporate events or upon request), we use the Bexio software (bexio AG, Rapperswil, Switzerland). Required billing details such as name, address, and email are recorded in Bexio to issue and send the invoice. Details: Datenschutzerklärung Bexio.
Please note: Inside Breakout itself does not receive full payment details such as your credit card number – these are processed directly by the payment provider.
Marketing and Social Media
Inside Breakout maintains an online presence and uses third-party services for marketing, including Google, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Google: We use Google services (e.g. Google Ads) to promote our offers. When you click one of our ads or find us via Google, Google may collect certain data (such as the fact that our website was visited). Processing is carried out by Google according to its own privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy.
Facebook & Instagram: We have profiles on Facebook and Instagram (services of Meta Platforms, Inc.). When you interact with us on these platforms, Meta processes your personal data in accordance with its privacy policy: Meta Privacy Policy. We may receive aggregated or anonymous statistics (e.g. number of page views), but not personal details.
LinkedIn: We are also present on LinkedIn. When you visit our LinkedIn page or interact with our content, LinkedIn may collect usage data in accordance with its privacy policy: LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
Please note: When using these external platforms, the respective operators (Google, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn) are responsible for the data processing.
Hosting and Cookies
Our website (insidebreakout.com) is hosted by Hostpoint (Hostpoint AG, Switzerland).
Use of Cookies:
Own Cookies: When you visit our website, cookies may be stored on your device. Cookies are small text files that store information about your use of our website. They serve to ensure the functionality of our website and to improve your user experience.
Server Log Files: For technical reasons, certain access data is collected in so-called server log files when you access our website. These include information such as:
IP address
Date and time of access
Protocol information (e.g. protocol type, protocol version, requested action, status codes or information on the data transferred)
Error messages
Browser information (user agent string) or, if applicable, the page from which the visitor arrived at the website
This data is used to ensure operations and IT security and is not used to draw conclusions about individual persons. There is no merging of these server log data with other data sources. The logs are generally deleted automatically after the legally or contractually defined periods have expired.
Rights of the Data Subject
Under the applicable data protection law (DSG and, if applicable, GDPR), you have various rights regarding your personal data. In particular, you have the right to:
Obtain information about what data we have stored about you and how we process it,
Request the correction of incorrect data or the completion of incomplete data,
Request the deletion of your personal data, provided we are not legally or contractually obliged to retain it,
Withdraw consent given for data processing at any time with effect for the future,
Under certain circumstances, object to the processing of your data, in particular to data processing for direct marketing purposes, and
Request data access or data portability, i.e. to receive a copy of the personal data stored about you in a commonly used format.
Please note that we may require proof of identity in order to implement your rights and that certain rights may be restricted if overriding interests, legal obligations, or the legitimate interests of third parties conflict with them.
You also have the right to contact us directly with questions or concerns (see above). If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection law, you may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
