A. General and Scope of Services
Burney’s Inside Breakout (hereinafter referred to as “Inside Breakout”) offers, under these General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter “GTC”), various live escape entertainment games to interested persons (hereinafter referred to as “players”).
These games take place at Baarerstrasse 38, 6300 Zug.
All information about the services offered can be found on the website www.insidebreakout.com.
These GTC apply between Inside Breakout and the players and govern their contractual relationship. Inside Breakout reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time. Any amendment results in a new version of the GTC, which will be published on the Inside Breakout website. For game reservations, the version of the GTC valid at the time of reservation shall apply.
B. Game Reservations
- A game reservation can be made by the players via the website. In exceptional cases, a reservation can also be made by phone or email. Inside Breakout reserves the right to refer inquiries made by phone or email to the online booking system.
- A game must be booked via the website at least 24 hours in advance. For reservations within 24 hours, a phone call or email inquiry can be made. Inside Breakout reserves the right to decline a reservation request within 24 hours without giving a reason.
- Reservations are processed via Quinbook. Quinbook (Woizzer AG) is one of the leading online booking and management software providers, based in Hamburg, Germany. Information regarding Quinbook’s privacy policy can be found at:: https://quinbook.com/Privacy.
C. Vouchers
Vouchers can be purchased via the website or on site and can be redeemed when booking a game.
Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The voucher system is operated via Quinbook. For further information, see section 3 under “Game Reservations.”
From the date of purchase, a voucher is valid for 1 year. After that, it expires.
D. Payment
Payment for online game reservations can be made either online at the time of booking or on site. The total amount must be paid before the start of the game.
Payment for vouchers or other items purchased online is made online at the time of purchase.
Payment for vouchers or other items purchased on site is made on site at the time of purchase.
The online payment system is operated via Quinbook. For further information, see section 3 under “Game Reservations.”
On-site payments can be made in cash or by card. Accepted cards are generally all cards with the Maestro, VPay, MasterCard, Visa, or American Express logo. PostFinance cards are not accepted.
Card payments made on site are processed via the SumUp payment terminal. SumUp is one of the leading mobile point-of-sale providers in Europe, based in London, UK. Information regarding SumUp’s privacy policy can be found at https://ch-de.sumup.com/datenschutzbestimmungen.
E. Conclusion of Contract
A binding contract between Inside Breakout and the players is formed upon booking a game. By making a reservation, the players confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted the GTC of Inside Breakout. Players also confirm that they do not suffer from claustrophobia, nervous disorders, epilepsy, asthma, heart disease, or similar conditions.
A binding contract between Inside Breakout and the players is also formed upon purchasing a voucher (online or on site) or any other item from the online shop or on site.
F. Prices
Current prices can be found on the website. Prices are per person and per game. For larger groups, a non-binding offer can be requested via info@insidebreakout.com
Inside Breakout reserves the right to change prices at any time. The prices valid at the time of reservation apply.
Inside Breakout also reserves the right to correct errors in confirmed prices as soon as they are discovered.
G. Changes, Cancellations, or Withdrawal by the Players
- A reservation can be cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours before the scheduled game. For cancellations within 72 hours or in the event of a no-show, the full reservation price must be paid. This also applies if “Pay on site” was selected during booking.
H. Changes, Cancellations, or Withdrawal by Inside Breakout
Inside Breakout may, in exceptional cases, reschedule or cancel a planned event. Such a case may arise, for example, if:
Inside Breakout staff are unable to work due to illness and no replacement can be arranged in time.
Inventory or game components are damaged or defective, making it impossible to conduct the game appropriately.
In such cases, Inside Breakout will contact the players immediately to offer the best possible solution. Possible solutions may include:
Rescheduling the game to another date or time.
Issuing a voucher for the value of the paid amount. The same applies if a voucher was used for the booking.
Full refund of the amount already paid.
Inside Breakout reserves the right to deny entry to one or more players in the following cases:
Failure to sign the participation agreement on site.
The team does not include at least one adult (18+) while having at least one member under 16.
Failure to comply with the game rules.
Aggressive behaviour (verbal or non-verbal).
Damage to furniture.
Theft.
Intoxication or being under the influence of drugs.
Inside Breakout also reserves the right to refuse entry without further explanation.
If entry is refused, the player is not entitled to a refund of payment or a redeemed voucher. In certain cases (e.g., damage to furniture, theft), Inside Breakout reserves the right to take legal action.
J. Game Rules
A game can only be played in a team of 2–6 players.
All games are available in both German and English.
- Age restrictions for Inside Breakout games:
“The Ticking Heart”: Children under 14 may only participate if accompanied by at least one adult aged 18 or over.
“The Revenge”: Recommended for ages 16 and above. Participation by younger players must be approved by at least one adult. Children under 16 may only participate if accompanied by at least two adults aged 18 or over.

Total visit time: approx. 90 minutes.
As Inside Breakout is a live event, punctual arrival is essential. To ensure a smooth process, teams must arrive exactly at the booked time. Late arrivals forfeit the right to participate, and no refund or voucher reimbursement will be given. Unfortunately, no exceptions can be made for any kind of delay.
The rooms contain puzzles that must be solved within 60 minutes. If the game is not completed within this time, players have no right to continue playing beyond the allotted time.
- If a game is finished before the 60 minutes are up, there is no entitlement to a refund of any kind.
K. Confidentiality
Photo and video recording is not permitted in the game rooms (the reception area is excluded). To avoid misunderstandings, Inside Breakout recommends keeping all private electronic devices packed away during the game.
Inside Breakout and the players must treat all information acquired during the service confidentially.
Players agree to keep the contents of the rooms secret and not disclose them to third parties who have not played the room.
All players acknowledge that the games, room concepts, story designs, and effects are the property of Inside Breakout and may not be copied or used for personal purposes.
The confidentiality obligation continues after the contract ends.
Inside Breakout reserves the right to take legal action in the event of a breach.
After the game, Inside Breakout staff may take team photos in the reception area. Players agree that these photos may be uploaded to the Inside Breakout website and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Tripadvisor, etc.). Players who do not agree can inform the game master.
L. Video Surveillance
Inside Breakout reserves the right to monitor and record the game rooms and reception area by video. Recordings may be used for internal training and analysis purposes to maintain service quality. They will not be shared with third parties and are used exclusively for internal purposes. Recordings are deleted no later than 21 days after creation.
M. Liability
Inside Breakout ensures that the premises and the agreed service are provided with due care and expertise.
Players participate at their own risk. Inside Breakout is not liable for direct or indirect damages such as injuries of any kind, death, losses, or similar.
Games and rooms must be treated with care. Players are liable to Inside Breakout for any damage caused to games or rooms. This also applies if objects from the rooms are damaged or removed.
N. Force Majeure
If a reserved and scheduled event must be cancelled due to force majeure, such as natural disasters, earthquakes, storms, war, civil war, nuclear disasters, terrorism, or similar events, Inside Breakout is released from fulfilling the affected obligation.
In cases of force majeure, there is no entitlement to compensation or replacement.
O. Invalid Provisions and Contract Gaps
If any provision of this contract is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remainder of the contract shall not be affected. The parties shall replace the invalid provision with a valid one that comes closest to the intended economic purpose of the invalid provision.
The same applies in cases where the contract is found to contain a gap.
P. Jurisdiction
The place of jurisdiction for any disputes shall be the registered office of Inside Breakout. Inside Breakout reserves the right to bring legal action at the defendant’s place of residence. Swiss law shall apply exclusively.
